This mystery quilt started the week of Thanksgiving 2010 and I just finished it June of 2011. I am so proud of myself for completing this quilt. Wow what a job. There were string blocks that were paper pieced and 600 hst (half square triangles). This was the second mystery quilt that I have ever done and love it.

My step mothers quilt that she had in the nursing home...

This is my step mothers quilt that I found in my fathers house after they both passed away the same year. She died in February 2010 and he died in December 2010. This quilt has a label and the maker is named. It is named Midnight Stars and was made by Connie M. Danst 2000-2001. I just love it. These stars intimidate me and are beautiful. Made from some of my favorite colors it sits on the back of my couch and when I am cold I snuggle in it to warm up. It is hand tied and stitched in the ditch in around the outside borders. I am proud to say that this quilt is mine now that both my dad and my step mother are gone. I sure miss my father and his wife...
