13th Quilt

I had not been quilting for very long when I saw this quilt made by The Crazy Quilter in Deary, Idaho at the Moscow quilt show. Their fabrics were different but it was the same pattern as this one. I had to have it so when I visited their shop at the next shop hop I could not wait to get one to do for myself. I purchased this quilt kit at one of my favorite quilt shops. It was a lot of fun to arrange and piece. I love this top because it is my favorite color. I arranged the squares and zig zagged around each of the blocks and sewed them in stacks like I arranged them. Next the blocks are cut in 4 and rearranged and sewed back together in a 4 patch. I have not sandwiched it and machine quilted it as of yet.

Finally... July 7th 2011 I finally went to Emerald Garden and machine quilted this quilt. It is sandwiched with Warm and White 100% cotton batting and I did an all over pantograph on it with I believe Signature green thread on top and blue on the bottom. You would not know it unless you were looking for it but the pantograph is messed up on this quilt and it frustrates me. At one point the quilt was not rolled up and I was sewing over the top of the previous row of stitching. I have to take a deep breath and just leave it, not going to pick it out I don't think. I am at least practicing my long arm skills and getting to be quite comfortable doing pantographs.
